I have never payed for a clinic in my life. I understand the need to cover expenses, and heck even pay the artist (if he even gets any of that money, I doubt it). I'm just used to clinics being free, that was always one of the cool things about them.
I dont know if I'd pay $10 to see Lang in clinic. If you've never seen him though I imagine it's worth it. After seeing the DVD and being assaulted with superhuman drum independence that I will never <strike> have a use for</strike> be able to do, while trying to keep up with the switching from in the studio talking to in a VIDAL SASOON TV COMMERCIAL TALKING segments, it's all enough to make my head spin.
Please bear with my sarcasm, it's late.

For what I know, the artist's fee and per diem are payed by the sponsoring drum/cymbal company.
Some time ago here, the trend was to hold the drum clinics in a nightclub where the manager was more than happy to pack his club on a monday night and sell beer. Clubs didn't charge to the store and clinics were free. Nowadays, they hold the clinics in a medium concert hall (which I prefer). The store who brings the clinic charges 5-7 $ just to cover the hall-PA-techs expenses (1500-2000$). I think it's fair.

Rudy, I would pay 6$ for seeing Famularo and the others musicians. Famularo is not my KING OF THE DRUMS but I will go, listen and I?m sure he has something to offer. I have payd many times money for a concert (more than 6$) and after 30 minutes I wished not have gone. Also, here in my town it is not usual to have clinics, so I will go and I?ll tell something here.
Anyone has attended some Famularo?s clinics?
bye

Actually, I've seen Dom twice in clinic and wasn't disappointed at all, he is funny and has vast knowledge of the artform.
He's definetely one to catch for the mental side of things: Enthusiasm, attitude and has some serious chops.
Both times, I had to pay but Sabian were the sponsers so I guess I didn't mind the fee.
